Best Places for Business Meetings in Vienna

That Vienna is a capital of coffee culture might not be anything new to you. Because of that Viennese love to have their meetings outside of their office and venture out for cool lunch places and cafés. If you are travelling to Vienna for work, here are my top places to have business meetings in the city centre.
Set Lunches
There are a lot of places which offer really nice set lunches during the working week. I personally really like Ella’s. It is situated in the former Jewish quarter facing the Judenplatz. In summer, you can sit outside on the square. (Judenplatz 9)
Restaurant Hansen is popular amongst the local business crowd. It is located in the basement of the stock exchange. Right next to it is a flower shop, in case you need a last minute bouquet. (Wipplingerstraße 34)
Stadtcafé is great if you have a lot of meetings lined up. From its central location at Freyung, you can walk quickly to the offices and other restaurants and cafés. (Freyung 1)

Traditional
If you are looking for a more traditional Viennese experience, I recommend the recently renovated and expanded Zum Schwarzen Kameel. I really like their assortment of snacks – traditional sour dough bread with all sorts of toppings, filled bread rolls and small cakes. During peak times it can be a bit crowded. There is also the option of sitting outside. (Bognergasse 5)
Another option is Café Landtmann. You can either sit in their “winter garden” with a view of the city hall and the Burgtheater, or you move further inside for a more private setting. (Universitätsring 4)
Hotel Settings
I am usually not a big fan of meetings in hotels. However, The Bank at the Park Hyatt is just really impressive. It is located in the former headquarters of a local bank and is a successful mix of Jugendstil (fin de siècle) art and modern elements. It also has a set lunch. (Bognergasse 4)
Intimate & Private
If you wish to have a more intimate and private setting, I recommend Trattoria Martinelli. When you book, you can tell the restaurant that you want a table which is more private and they will accommodate you. (Freyung 3)

Upscale
One of my favourite Italian places is Cantinetta Antinori and it is also a great location for business meetings. Cantinetta is located in the heart of Vienna, just off St. Stephen’s Square (Stephansplatz) and is a branch of the original Cantinetta Antinori in Florence, Italy. I highly recommend their warm octopus salad, the branzino and the steak. (Jasomirgottgasse 3-4)
Modern and Interactive
Cocoquadrat is a bit outside of the city centre. Nevertheless, I wanted to list it here because I think it is useful to know about this place. It is a mix of café and coworking space and you can also book meeting rooms by the hour. They also have hourly options for bigger spaces for group meetings or conferences. (Wiedner Hauptstraße 65)
