My Favourite Places to Shop in Vancouver Downtown and Gastown

Jewellery Vancouver-Style
Leah Alexandra
Beautiful jewellery – what can I say more? I love her Moonstone Ear Climbers! (@ Blue Ruby) (1089 Robson St)
International Designers and Natural Cosmetics
Blubird
Cute shop on Alberni Street with international designers and extremely courteous staff. I fell in love with their Elena Ghisellini bags. Also, they have RMS cosmetics (organic). (1055 Alberni Street)
Sustainable and Ecofriendly
Nicole Bridger
This store is a proof that eco-friendly and sustainable fashion doesn’t make you look like a hippie! The designs of Nicole Bridger are very flattering and look really cool – no matter if you are looking for casual or more sophisticated business pieces. The majority of designs are produced in their own factory in Vancouver to have control over ethical and environmental standards and the supply chain is tracked to ensure sustainability and social standards. Furthermore, the designer tries to minimize the use of polyester, which is being produced from chemicals, or other material such as plastic and use for example nuts or shells as buttons. They are also a retailer for a selection of accessories and natural nail polish. (14 Water Street)
Unique Interior Design
Parliament
Really cool interior shop in Gastown with pieces from local designers. (115 Water Street)
Local with a Social Impact
Bill Reid Gallery
The gallery shop not only offers prints of Bill Reid’s artworks but also authentic and indigenous jewellery (such as silver earrings with patterns similar to those on totem poles), accessories, giftware and art works. Your purchases will support contemporary Northwest Coast artists. (639 Hornby St)
